I always dreamt of becoming an actor, ever since I was a child. Watching Amitabh Bachchan movies fueled my fascination with Hindi cinema, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. But dreaming is one thing and turning it into reality is another. Life demanded that I work for a living, yet the dream never faded away.
I remember 12–13 years back when numerology was the craze in Bollywood. Big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn were following it. I too decided to change my name according to numerology, hoping it would open doors for me. I went to the same numerologist that the stars consulted. After analyzing my name and birth date, he told me I shared the same number — 2 — with Shah Rukh Khan. He adjusted my name so that it added up to number 1, just like SRK’s.
He told me I had similar qualities to Shah Rukh Khan and advised me to market myself as an “upmarket guy” with the attitude of a star. He quoted the famous line: “Jo Dikhta Hai Wahi Bikhta Hai.” It made sense at the time, and I started working on myself as per his suggestions.
But reality was different. Despite the name change, things didn’t fall into place the way I imagined. I realized that in Bollywood, it’s not just about numerology or destiny — it’s about hard work, looks, timing, and luck. As they say, “10 percent talent and 90 percent luck” plays a huge role in an actor’s struggle. Being at the right place at the right time matters more than anything.
After all these years, I’ve understood that changing my name didn’t change my fate. What really matters is persistence, karma, and staying positive. The dream is still alive in me. I haven’t given up, and I don’t think anyone chasing their dream should give up either.
So, dream on. Keep working. Keep believing. Do good karma. And one day, everything will fall into place.
